Daniel Casan and Eduardo Casan are from Málaga (Spain) and their first experiments with flamenco-fusion at the time that they met Dutch Chill producer Herink Takkenberg resulted in one of the most representative Spanish bands internationally: CHAMBAO, where they were performers and authors of the first three albums.
Their first album was called “Chambao Flamenco Chill” (2001) which sold more than 100,000 copies, the second was “Endorfinas en la mente” (2003) which won the critics (Ondas Award for the best Musical creation,) and the Music Prize for Best New Music Album) which sold more than 100,000 copies in more than 50 countries, from France to Japan. A track from ‘Endorfinas en la mente’ was included in the MTV Lounge vol. 3, next to St. Germain, Leftfield, Moby and Moloko. The single “Ahí estás tú” was chosen to sponsor Andalusia in an advertising spot which aired for more than three years at national and international levels. The third was “Pokito a Poko” (2005) which also sold more than 100,000 copies, all released by Sony Music. The last two works were co-produced with Bob Benozzo (Italian producer), being this Pezlimon’s debut as musical producers and accumulating experience, with both Henrik and Bob. After his departure from the group in 2004, Dani, together with Raúl Benítez and Nito Inza, created and managed the musical project OLÉFUNK, fusing flamenco and funk. This project took him to participate in several international festivals, from Luxembourg (MeYouZik) to Shanghai (International New Folk Music Festival). The recording of their first album was co-produced with the Brazilian musician Pedro Conceiçao. A year later, Edi abandons the Group CHAMBAO and dedicates along with Dani, to the recording and production of their tracks, friends and local artists, until at the end of last year 2012, they decided to create their own music production business, Pezlimon Sound. They currently contribute to the promotion flamenco-fusion at all corners of the planet.
